What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in the web browser. LocalStorage does something similar. The German TTDSG (§25) requires consent before information is stored on a user’s device — with the exception of information that is technically necessary.

What information do we store?

1. Technically necessary — no consent required (§25 (2) TTDSG):

• stade_consent (LocalStorage) — the value "ok" means the cookie notice has been acknowledged, so the banner does not appear again.

2. With your consent (§25 (1) TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR):

• Advertising — adverts may be placed on the portal. If advertising partners were to set cookies in the process, that happens only after your explicit consent through the cookie banner; consent can be withdrawn at any time. Purely editorial adverts (our own text or banner, with no third-party scripts) set no cookies.

Technically necessary data is stored only on your device or — in the case of session management — on our server, and is not passed on to third parties.

Which cookies we do NOT use

• ❌ No Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible or any other analytics,
• ❌ No Google Fonts (the typefaces are hosted locally),
• ❌ No Google Maps, YouTube embeds, Facebook Like buttons or other external iframes,
• ❌ No fingerprinting, no A/B testing tools, no heatmaps,
• ❌ No selling of your data and no advertising profiling across websites.

How do I delete the stored information?

You can clear this site’s LocalStorage at any time through your browser settings:

• Chrome / Edge: F12 → the “Application” tab → “Local Storage” → right-click → “Clear”,
• Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+I → “Storage” → “Local Storage” → delete,
• Safari: Develop → Show Web Inspector → Storage,
• Or simply: browser settings → Privacy → “Delete site data” / “Clear history”.

Server log files

Independently of cookies, the hosting server may store technical log files with an anonymised IP address, the date, the URL and the browser type. Details: privacy notice, section 2.

Legal basis

Technically necessary elements (the consent notice): §25 (2) no. 2 TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Advertising cookies and comparable non-essential technologies: §25 (1) TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent).
